.Recipe #3 - Stir-fried Sambal Brinjal With Chicken.

Ingredients :

• Brinjal (duh)
• Sambal chilli
• Chicken boobs
• Salt
• Pepper
• Soya sauce
• Sesame oil
• minced garlic
• onions (chopped)
• water

Instructions :

1. Marinate chicken (sliced) boobs in sesame oil + salt and pepper. Let stand for a few minutes.
2. Heat up pan. Add oil + minced garlic and. Fry till golden brown before adding in Chicken + chopped onions. Fry till chicken is cooked thoroughly.
3. Add sambal chilli and brinjal + a can of water. Fry and ensure all the ingredients are immersed in the gravy. Cover pan for awhile and allow everything to cook.
4. Add salt and pepper and light sauce according to taste.
5. Serve!!

P.S. - this dish goes damn well with rice. My favourite for now.

..went to church with aunt hann, sarah lee and bern today..Perth Christian Life Church..sermon was very good..so good i decided i had to take down notes on my hp..so i looked ike i was smsing the whole service through..anyway, i'm gna share so here goes..

In life, we are always faced with the prospect of having to choose. What degree to do, what job to have, what car to buy, whom to marry, what God to worship..we always face decisions like that at different periods of our lives. But everyone knows it's not so much which choice we are faced with, but more what consequences we face when we make that choice.

God did not create us to be puppets, but instead, He gave us the ability to decide.

How many times have you been faced with a decision that seems so easy to make at first, but then suddenly u realise there is a flipside to it - one that doesn't seem so easy and popular, but u know deep down inside that it is the right one? I know i have; and many times too. The decision that God wants us to make always seems like the less popular one, but we all know it is the CORRECT one. It's simply what we want to believe in. We can look around and see everybody taking that big, easy, broad path and follow the crowd, or use our brains and decide what we should do.

C. S. Lewis wrote - "There are 2 types of people in this world - those who pray to God and say, 'Your will be done.' or those whom God look at and say, 'You will be done.' " Just because everybody chooses it does not neccesarily make it right.

Take a simple analogy for example : Pastor or high-flyer businessman? Many of us (including me, i think) would probably choose the high-flyer - why? Money, fame and everything else. But is that what really makes us happy? Sure, many of you will say without money we can do nothing - and that is true. But why not follow God's will and still be happy? It is possible. Sure, there won't be the luxury cars, big house, nice office, yatch, women, divorce, stress, backstabbing and stress, but again who really needs all these? Is that what we really want in life?

I always believed in life we make decisions and should never look back. What's the point of regretting when you have already decided on something? And it is true - life has no 'rewind' button. There simply is no point for that. So solution? simple dimple - choose properly!

God said, "(We choose)..not in the light of time, but in the light of eternity."

Life is not where everything ends, or is decided. Sure, we will fail at times, and even fall at others; but it is there - right infront of Him when on judgement day that we have to answer for every decision and choice we made in our lives. Eternal judment is what we should live for, people. Not the nicer choice, or the more easy decision. Think of what God has for you at the end of the day, not of what you can get here. God is calling out to you - take the narrow path. With that, i leave you with one thought and a prayer.

"If our rightful citizenship - what we fight for and hope for, is in Heaven, then why are we living like permanent residents here?"

.Recipe #2 - Ground Beef Stew.

Ingredients :

• ground beef x1 can
• potatoes
• zucchini
• carrots
• celery
• worchestershire sauce
• onions
• luncheon meat - diced
• cabbage
• chopped garlic
• tomato soup
• chicken stock
• salt + pepper

Instructions :

1. Heat up Pot. Add oil, chopped garlic and onions and fry till pungent.
2. Add tomato soup + 1 can of water.
3. Add ground beef and potatoes, carrots, celery and stirrrrrrrrrr. Add salt, worchestershire sauce, pepper, stock and keep stirring.
4. Fry luncheon meat (diced) in seperate frying pan and add to stew too.
5. Layer cabbage on top of everything so that it covers everything and cover pot.
6. Let simmer till everything is one big gloop.
7. Keep stirring.
8. Add zucchini and stirrr.
9. Once u get one helluva big gllop, taste. Add according to preference and then let simmer on low fire.
10. Serve!

Rice Rice Rice..nothing else. Or bread, i guess.

One clarification, people - lise and i aren't together. I don't know how that rumour started but it has spread to my tagboard and it is helluva irritating. (i must be a bad influence or something..heh) Lise is my best friend, and always will be. And i did not break up with yaqi because of Lise or any other girl - stop pursuing that too.

.Gosh Am I Narcissistic Or What.

.Recipe #1 - Spaghetti Bolognaise.

Ingredients -

• Celery
• Tomato
• Zuchinni
• Capsicum
• Minced Garlic
• Minced Beef
• Chopped Onions
• Salt
• Pepper
• Pasta x1 packet
• Button Mushrooms
• Tomato Sauce
• Tomato Ketchup (Or puree)

Instructions -

1. Marinate minced beef with salt + pepper.
2. Boil water. Add touch of oil and salt. Wait till Boil then add Spaghetti.
3. Once spag has soften remove and rinse in cold water. Put in container and let dry. If it gets sticky, add oregano and oil.
4. Now for the sauce. Add minced garlic and oil to frying pan, and let simmer till brownish. Then add onions and simmer abit more till transluscent.
5. Put in beef. Chop chop chop. Add spaghetti sauce (the pure tomato kind). (Keep chopping) Add bottle of water. Add Tomatoes, Salt, Pepper, Oregano and Chicken stock.
6. Stirrrrrrrr.
7. Ensure beef is thoroughly dissolved. Press tomatoes to ensure they are mushy. Taste and add according to preference.
8. Throw in mushrooms, capsicum, celery, zucchini and everything else.
9. Turn fire on small and let simmer.
10. Serve!!

..so Perth has been exactly like i expected..sleepy, quiet, but weirdly fufilling. Spent the past 24 hours sleeping, eating, helping with chores, sleeping, eating, sleeping, sleeping..u get the idea. I think it's my body catching up with me due to my neglect over the past week..oh well. Other than dat, i've actually got some time to sit down and reflect (Perth does that to you..gives u lots of time to sit down and think and think and think..until u cant think no more.) about the past week..the party, the goodbyes, the having to rush from one guest to another, the packing, the friends, the late night car rides with important people in my life, meals at ungodly hours with the breast friend and others, and just about everything else. I think i really am surrounded with the sweetest people in the world. Even people like Sherlyn and Esther who i never met before came into my life and left nice memories. =) thank you, everyone.
To lise : Girl i miss you so much!! i know i didn't get to call u before i left, but it was horrible to press call at 12:30am before my flight and find out u had already turned off your phone..-sob- haha..i'm going to give u a call tonight and bug the hell outta u..hopefully auntie alison won't mind. hurr. i'm hoping you are having a goot time in school, girl..prepare for a long long tok tonight..-grin-
Well, i think everyone did kinda expect a post-party analysis from me and i havent delivered..so let's see - hrmm i had expected 50-plus people to come..but then some people brought extra friends, some people didn't RSVP but came (thank you), and mom and dad's friends turned up in fuller force than expected..so in the end more than a hundred people came..i, on the other hand, felt like a freaking socialite having to shuttle between one guest to another..thank God for my 3 receptionists who managed to juggle taking pictures, signing the banners, organising the presents, ushering them into the house and settling them down. Good job, girls..you all deserve like a medal or something.
And to map - dear girl and photographer..thank you so much for your help and i know u spent countless hours wrapping my presents and i failed to even show up..so sorry!! And your right, i DO owe you a big present..=P
I thought the party was really nice..kinda was a way to prove to myself i can actually hold a party and make it work. Bartender + Prata man make a super good combination..haha. So much so that i didn't even eat a single piece of prata that night, and the prata man had to hide the last piece for my dad. Mrfgh. All in all, i'm just glad everyone enjoyed themselves.
Well, i'll start uploading pictures soon coz Sarah lee's computer doesn't have Picasa..so probably when i get to Melbourne and settle down or something..-grin-.
To the girl who hates my -grin-, i miss you. To the girl who made my last few days at home so lovely, i will always remember this one phrase.

Instead it’s written by his dear and loving friend Felicia Leksono (the one in the dear girl post…btw I am 15 years old and do not live in denial, which Lionel knew…hehe). But most of you guys don’t know me because I live in Irvine, California. Anyways, I met Lionel at the 23rd SEA Games in Manila. What to say about Lionel… he is definitely a very special guy! I don’t think there is anyone else out there quite like him. He has a great sense of humor, and definitely knows how to make everyone happy. He is caring and sweet and even listens to my randomness and nonsense…hehe. He is also one smart and talented guy. I have never actually seen him train, but by the looks of it he really deserved that GOLD medal in the 400 free, so way to go Lionel! Also, I wish you all the best with your studies in Australia.
